Welcome to Rachs Bakes, a small, passionate business built on a love of baking and bringing people together.
I’m Rachael Buxton, the face behind the bakes, a proud mum of two teenage boys, and someone who grew up in Stafford. After spending 14 wonderful years living in Cumbria, I moved back to Stafford 10 years ago, where Rachs Bakes has truly found its roots.
Our Story
My baking journey began when my boys were young. What started as a simple hobby quickly grew into something much more after attending several baking courses in Cumbria. That’s where I discovered just how much I loved creating cakes and treats that make people smile. For me, nothing beats seeing someone enjoy something I’ve made.
A couple of years ago, with a brand-new kitchen and a big leap of confidence, I began taking things more seriously — creating cakes for birthdays, christenings, weddings, and all those special moments that deserve something extra special. Then in October 2025, The Cake Shed was born… and we haven’t looked back since. Each week, I love welcoming familiar and new faces, hearing your feedback, and being part of your celebrations.
In April 2026, a dream came true with the arrival of Olive, our beautiful trailer. She’s now out on the road, bringing Rachs Bakes to events up and down the country — sharing the love (and plenty of sweet treats) with even more people.
And of course, no business is built alone… Enter Mr Rachs Bakes — chief cookie dough ball maker, barista, and expert towing man. Whether it’s behind the scenes or on the road with Olive, he’s an essential part of the team.
